As a seasoned professional, Kandi has excelled in multiple fields, earning recognition as a Hall of Famer, Entrepreneur, Celebrity Brand Agent, Global Speaker, 7x Author, and Mom Manager of LA Celebrity DJ and Media Personality Demi Lobo. Her diverse skill set and extensive experience have positioned her as a valuable asset in the business landscape.
One of Kandi's notable achievements is being the first African American woman to own and manage a women's professional basketball team, the Chicago Twisters in the WBA (Women's Basketball Association). This groundbreaking accomplishment speaks to her leadership abilities and commitment to breaking barriers.
Kandi is also deeply involved in philanthropy and community engagement. She serves as the Philanthropy Director and Events Co-Chair of WISE Las Vegas (Women in Sports & Entertainment), where she leverages her expertise to contribute to meaningful initiatives within the organization.
Furthermore, Kandi is the CEO of Life After Sports, Athletes Who Give (Non-Profit), and an App Founder. Through these ventures, she offers event curation, ala-carte branding, and social media solutions tailored to the needs of events, entrepreneurs, entertainers, authors, athletes, and celebrities. Her comprehensive understanding of the industry and her dedication to delivering exceptional services make her an invaluable resource for clients.
Kandi's exceptional contributions have been recognized and celebrated by various institutions. She has been inducted into the African American Hall of Fame and the Kansas City Archives Hall of Fame. Additionally, she has received honors from the Naismith Hall of Fame and has been invited for inclusion in the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. In December 2022, Kandi accepted the prestigious "AFRO Award" for her outstanding sports philanthropy in Los Angeles.
Prior to her illustrious career, Kandi played soccer for the USAF team at Nellis AFB and curated sports events at three USAF bases. Her military service background instilled in her a strong work ethic, discipline, and a commitment to excellence. She is a proud graduate of Southern Illinois University and maintains active memberships in esteemed organizations such as Women in Sports & Entertainment, Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, Women's Speakers Association, and she is also an Air Force Veteran.
